Price Analysis of Value Networks in a Cloud enabled XaaS Marketplace

4CaaSt is an advanced everything as a service (XaaS) cloud platform. A complex service in its value network can be composed of several products. There a service provider generates revenue from delivering a service to customers but also has to pay for third party cloud products that its service uses. Several price models can be applied to the 4CaaSt products that can take into consideration the actual usage of its customers. The contribution of this Thesis is as follows: identification of appropriate price models for 4CaaSt products, formalization of revenue, costs and profit in a complex service and support for the price discovery and analysis problem of products in the 4CaaSt cloud marketplace. The solution addresses to support deciders to achieve certain business model goals based on the optimization of the prices in the price model of their products. In addition the solution supports to analyze and visualize revenue and cost flow in the product constellation of a service that result at different pricings. The Business Model Simulator (BMS) Web application has been built therefore. The solution of the BMS to address the optimization task is through a meta-heuristic approach. Hence the BMS simulates optimal pricings according to objective functions through a genetic algorithm.

Enhancement of a Fault Analysis Method Using Arc Resistance Formula

Generally there are two different methods in calculating short-circuit currents in power system networks in terms of considering arc resistance in calculations, the first method is based on considering the value of the arc resistance as a constant value (usually 0.5?) or neglecting this value. By introducing some formulae for the arc resistance like the Warrington formula which is one of the most well-known formulae, second method could be applied. Second method is based on considering the value of the arc resistance in short-circuit calculation. To calculate the short-circuit current in power system networks our model should be accurate enough, to have an accurate model in theses studies the value of the arc resistance should be considered. The problem here is the non-linear relationship between fault current and arc resistance. In this study by using ETAP software for fault analysis, Microsoft visual studio 2010 (C++) for the related iteration, short-circuit studies based on symmetrical components has been investigated on two different IEEE networks. Results show the efficiency of the arc resistance formula which has been used in this study in special range of fault currents.

In our society everything revolves around the notion of VALUE. Based on the experience in the field of the Value Analysis approach, the authors suggest a new method for optimizing the selection of materials. In this paper the authors highlight and present: – the Value Analysis approach, – a valid and useful guide for the specialists to optimize the value/cost ratio of the alloys for equipment parts. Therefore, apparently a part, a component of an alloy could not be approached using the Value Analysis approach. However, if we penetrate within its structure, at micro level we notice that our part is made of several constituents, of several components. In the case of an assembly with several constituents/alloying elements we can apply the Value Analysis approach to this assembly, which is the alloy of the part. This approach, to the knowledge of the authors, is unique and the first of this kind in the specialty literature.

Company Networks Analysis

Our work deals with analysis of specific type of social networks called company networks. Actors are companies and connections are representing interactions between them. Dynamics of company networks is slower and they do not tend to create connections above certain boundaries (local business) because higher trust is needed than in other social networks. They also contain a lot of non-structural data as compositional data and temporal data. Company networks as interested already several projects in Slovakia like foaf.sk and ITLIS.eu projects. These projects focused on visualisation of ties in the network of companies in Slovak republic. These portals also partially utilize temporal data. In our work we build on the ITLIS.eu project and enhance it in a number of ways. We proposed a comprehensive data model of company networks, taking into account also aging factor (based on detailed temporal data). Main part of our work is dedicated to meso-level structural analysis, mainly analysis of local structures and local structure patterns detection, where approaches to large-scale network decomposition and positional analysis of local structures are designed and implemented.
